Remarkable Brazilian guitarist and teacher Edson Lopes has selected two contemporary masterpieces to present for solo and duo guitar — a popular choro by Zequinha de Abreu titled Tico-Tico no Fubá, and a lovely composition titled Melodia de uma noite by Portuguese composer Silvestre Fonseca. These are great choices to play with a partner, but if you don’t have one, you can still enjoy playing the solo versions, or take Edson as your duo partner at guitarbymasters.com. The solo versions of each piece have tablature as well as standard score.
